Mitchell DeJong continued progress on his Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series championship plight by dominating yet another round of action during Saturday's round three showdown at Surprise, Arizona. Piloting the mighty Speed Technologies machine, the Red Bull-backed phenom launched out of the shoot with a commanding lead and took the top finish for the day at the sweltering motocross-style Speedworld Offroad Park.

The iconic stallion of Speed Technologies has converged onto the Orange County Fairgrounds for the 2010 Sand Sports Super Show in support this weekend in support of its race effort and its vibrant offspring, the SuperLite Championship Arrive & Drive short course off-road racing program. At the gateway to the polished chrome of the lifestyle that embodies the sand dunes, the Speed Technologies trailer and a myriad of its assets will stand in conjunction with partners, which includes the likes of Lucas Oil and its Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.

An inductee to the Motorcycle Hall Of Fame as well as the Motorsports Hall Of Fame Of America, Jeff Ward enters his second year with Speed Technologies, again jumping behind the wheel of the team's 800-plus horsepower Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Pro 2 Unlimited entry.
Our descent into Vegas began Wednesday high noon. It was like a wagon train of modern day horses. Between the big rigs and army of race trucks, the amount of horsepower behind the mighty horse logo of Speed Technologies is unmatched amid this weekend's racing.
I could almost feel the angst of overbearing horsepower launching out the exhaust and spitting dirt into the face of a competitor. The Motorcycle Industry Council will cross the border next week for the San Felipe 250 off-road race to increase awareness of the need for the voices of those riders most affected by the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act’s ban on youth motorcycles and ATVs to be heard by Congress. MIC will have a booth at the event where visitors can get information on the youth dirt bike and ATV ban and can sign letters to Congress calling for an end to the restrictions.
